“Rīgas satiksme” terminates procurements under Skanste tram project
Today the Procurement Commission of "Rīgas satiksme" decided to suspend two procurements announced within the framework of Cohesion Fund project No. 4.5.1.1/16/I/002 “Development of Riga Tram Infrastructure: closed contest "Reconstruction of Riga Tram Infrastructure" and negotiated procedure “On the Delivery of Low-Floor Trams”.
It is planned that both procurements will be announced once again in the coming months. Prior to starting the new negotiated procedure, “Rīgas satiksme” also plans to review the procurement documentation by revising requirements to applicants and thus increasing the number of potential applicants to the extent possible.
It shall be noted that prior to announcing the procurement, all its documentation is pre-examined by the Procurement Monitoring Bureau, as provided for by the law. The Procurement Commission of “Rīgas satiksme” also actively cooperates with “Delna Society for Transparency” under the project supervision agreement (Integrity Pact).
